Ebola virus has spread in Africa for several mo
nths and it’s more terrible than SARS. People and animals can both be infected with the virus and it’s more infectious than SARS. Today we’ll talk a
bout the effects Ebola virus in Africa has on the whole industry of used-clothes.
Before that, we should have a rough idea a
bout Ebola virus. It’s microscler. After the infection, its incubation period is a
bout 2 to 7 days and then, there’s a fever. In 2 weeks, there will be symptoms like vomiting, dizziness, diarrhea and so on. What’s more, the virus will overflow out of the body with the blood, which shows a hemorrhage symptom. The bleeding parts include the five sense organs and the anus. It spreads though touch. It hasn’t been proved to spread by air.
Current distribution of the virus in Afirica.
At present, the spreading speed of the virus is very high. It covers Sudan, the republic of Congo, the central African republic, Libya, Gabon, Nigeria, Kenya, Ce d 'ivoire, Cameroon, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Ethiopia and South Africa.
Current effects the virus has on used-clothes export in interior enterprises.
We know that most of the counties mentio
ned above im
port used clothes and even some of them are main export countries. From what we know, the high-speed spread of the virus has made serious effects on the global used-clothes market including markets in our country. According to information, 34.3% of interior used-clothes export factories decreases at the l
ink relative ratio and 3.2% of the factories closed because of the effects of the virus.
When can the virus be controlled effectively?
a
bout co
ntrolling the virus, it’s hard for us to e
valuate now because the virus is so rare. In 1976, in Congo, the lives of over 80 people were taken away in 3 days. At present, according to United Nations health bureau, until 2015 may the vaccine to the virus appear. Before its appearance, we can o
nly pray for the co
ntrol to the virus silently!
